I'm guessing that their choice of nesting location will have an impact on your sleeping location? One way or another...
Looks like barn swallows. Your evening was probably mosquito free thanks to these guys. North American barn swallows can winter as far south as Argentina, so this humble couple may have seen more of the planet than most of us ever will.
